TOOT AGM
Hello to our TOOT railway supporters,
Trains On Our Tracks (TOOT) are holding our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and General Meeting on Saturday, the 20th November at 2PM, at the Bangalow Parklands near the Bangalow Weir, behind Heritage House.
We will be meeting in the fresh air and observing COVID-safe guidelines.
We will be giving you all the latest information about our ongoing campaign to save our tracks on the Casino to Murwillumbah Line from destruction and our work to bring regular rail services back to the Northern Rivers.
We will be supporting and recommending any candidates in the upcoming council elections on December 4th that support the return of rail to our region.
This may be the last chance we have to change the course of history to prevent the councils along our railway line from pulling up our tracks and cutting us off from future rail services in our region, in the name of building a “rail trail” instead.
Hoping you can come along to hear the latest of what we have been doing and what we are proposing for the elections.
Looking forward to seeing you there and telling others to come along if they support the return of rail to the Casino to Murwillumbah line.
Feel free to bring a thermos, some afternoon tea, and perhaps a chair in case the Parklands are very popular and we can’t get a picnic table to sit at.
Towards a rail based integrated public transport system in the Northern Rivers.
